KOSPI 200 Stock Price Movements Reflect Mixed Performance

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed on Friday with a mixture of gains and losses among major stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange. Among the notable increases, OCI Holdings saw a significant rise of 28,500 KRW, closing at 272,500 KRW. S-Oil also recorded a strong performance, climbing 12,700 KRW to end at 137,600 KRW. Other stocks like Nongshim and Korea Aerospace showed notable growth, with increases of 15,000 KRW and 4,100 KRW respectively.

According to Yonhap News Agency, some stocks experienced declines, with Korea Zinc facing a substantial drop of 128,000 KRW, closing at 1,106,000 KRW. Samsung SDS and Shinsegae were among those that saw decreases, with Samsung SDS falling by 11,000 KRW and Shinsegae decreasing by 7,500 KRW. Meanwhile, Lotte Shopping recorded a significant decline, dropping 14,800 KRW to close at 99,700 KRW.

Noteworthy gains were also observed in stocks such as POSCO FUTURE M, which rose by 8,300 KRW to reach 155,800 KRW, and Otoki, which increased by 7,000 KRW to 341,500 KRW. LG Corp. and Hanwha Solutions also experienced gains, with LG Corp. rising by 3,600 KRW and Hanwha Solutions by 3,500 KRW. Conversely, stocks like Samsung FandMIns and HyundaiEngandConst registered declines, with reductions of 3,000 KRW and 2,700 KRW respectively.
