Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index presented a mixed performance with several companies experiencing declines, while others reported gains. Notable movements included SeAH Steel Holdings and Taekwang Industrial, which saw significant declines, while HD Hyundai Heavy Industries experienced a substantial increase.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SeAH Steel Holdings' stock price fell by 4,900, closing at 113,000, while Taekwang Industrial saw a decrease of 11,000, ending at 709,000. On the contrary, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries reported a notable rise, with an increase of 25,000, closing at 582,000.
Other significant changes included Samsung Electronics, which declined by 2,200 to 138,800, and LG Corp., which decreased by 800 to close at 81,400. However, Korea Aerospace and LIG Nex1 posted gains, with increases of 6,700 and 41,500, closing at 142,800 and 531,000, respectively.
Hankook Tire and Technology, SD Biosensor, and emart were among the companies that experienced declines. Hankook Tire and Technology fell by 300 to 562,00, SD Biosensor dropped by 190 to 8,670, and emart decreased by 3,600 to 80,700.
The overall stock performance of the KOSPI 200 highlighted varied outcomes for the listed companies, with some managing to gain amidst the broader declines witnessed across several sectors.
