Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index today witnessed a range of movements across various stocks. Notable performances were observed in the technology and manufacturing sectors, with significant gains and losses recorded among key companies.

According to Yonhap News Agency, KAL shares rose by 1,750 to reach 29,100, while LG Corp. saw a modest increase of 200, closing at 99,400. SK experienced a substantial rise, gaining 146,000 to close at 858,000. KCC also saw a significant increase, with shares up by 54,000 to 533,000. In the technology sector, SK hynix shares surged by 337,000, closing at 2,917,000, and Samsung Electronics rose by 18,000 to 358,500.

Conversely, POSCO FUTURE M experienced a decline, with shares dropping by 7,900 to 170,200. Hyundai Steel's shares fell by 900 to 28,150. Lottee Fine Chem recorded a decrease of 950, closing at 43,750, and HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a drop of 73,000 to 3,280,000. LG Energy Solution shares decreased by 13,500, ending at 352,000.

Other notable movements included Samsung C and T, which saw an increase of 37,500, closing at 519,000, and Shinsegae, with shares up by 56,000 to 741,000. Meanwhile, Nongshim shares fell by 2,000 to 332,000, and YoulchonChem decreased by 780, ending at 14,980.
