Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a range of movements with several companies experiencing significant changes in their stock prices. Noteworthy among the gainers were Hyundai Rotem, Samsung Life, and LGChem, while Youngone Corp, Shinhan Group, and Hyundai Department Store faced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Rotem's stock rose by 8,500, closing at 210,000. Samsung Life experienced an increase of 3,500, ending at 209,000. LGChem also saw its shares rise by 10,000, settling at 334,500. Other companies that recorded increases include Celltrion, which went up by 6,500 to close at 244,500, and KEPCO E and C, which rose by 3,800, closing at 151,600.
Meanwhile, Youngone Corp's shares dropped by 3,900 to finish at 86,800. Shinhan Group declined by 2,200, ending at 100,300, while Hyundai Department Store saw a decrease of 3,800, closing at 106,000. In addition, KB Financial Group's shares fell by 1,400, closing at 166,500, and Lotte Shopping decreased by 2,100, ending at 111,200.
Several stocks experienced upward movements, such as KIH, which rose by 26,000 to close at 283,500, and Hanmi Pharm, which increased by 20,000, ending at 621,000. Other companies that enjoyed gains include LG Electronics, which rose by 3,900 to 121,100, and Daewoong Pharm, which went up by 3,800 to close at 173,300.
