KOSPI 200 Stock Movements See Significant Changes Across Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a variety of movements among major stocks, reflecting significant changes in the South Korean market. Noteworthy increases were seen in companies such as HD Hyundai Electric and HanmiPharm, while several others, including Samsung Biologics and APR, experienced declines.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric saw an increase of 8,000, reaching a closing price of 714,000. HanmiPharm also showed a rise, with its value increasing by 13,000 to 473,500. Other companies such as HyundaiAutoever and SKSQUARE also experienced increases, closing at 395,000 and 1,041,000 respectively, marking substantial gains.

Conversely, Samsung Biologics faced a decrease of 30,000, bringing its closing price to 1,447,000. APR saw a notable decline of 12,000, ending at 394,000. ORION and COSMAX also reported decreases, closing at 126,300 and 275,500 respectively. Overall, the market showed a mix of upward and downward movements, indicating varied investor sentiments across different sectors.

Additional companies such as Netmarble and Meritz Financial recorded declines, with their prices closing at 36,300 and 135,500, respectively. KakaoBank and kakaopay saw modest increases, ending the day at 21,950 and 47,300. The fluctuations across the KOSPI 200 index highlight the dynamic nature of the South Korean stock market, with both gains and losses impacting various industries.
