KOSPI 200 Stock Movements Reflect Varied Performance

Seoul: Monday's closing prices on the KOSPI 200 showed a mixed performance among stocks listed on the Korea Stock Exchange. Companies experienced both gains and losses, reflecting varied investor sentiment and market conditions.

According to Yonhap News Agency, notable increases were seen in LIG Nex1, which rose by KRW 17,000 to close at KRW 425,000, and HD Hyundai Electric, climbing KRW 16,000 to reach KRW 840,000. KCC also saw a significant rise, gaining KRW 21,000 to end at KRW 428,000. In contrast, Meritz Financial dropped significantly by KRW 11,000, closing at KRW 110,900.

Other notable movements included HanmiPharm increasing by KRW 1,000 to finish at KRW 474,000, while HANKOOK TIRE and TECHNOLOGY fell by KRW 300, closing at KRW 59,200. Companies like HYUNDAIGLOVIS and HYOSUNG TNC saw declines, with HYUNDAIGLOVIS down by KRW 3,400 and HYOSUNG TNC decreasing by KRW 1,000. Meanwhile, HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES rose by KRW 17,000, reaching KRW 603,000, and HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a substantial increase of KRW 41,000, closing at KRW 2,166,000.

Other stocks that experienced gains included Misto Holdings, which increased by KRW 1,400 to KRW 41,500, and KOLON IND, rising by KRW 4,000 to KRW 46,000. On the downside, HANAFINANCIALGR fell by KRW 1,300 to KRW 93,100, and CSWIND dropped by KRW 700 to close at KRW 42,500. The market showcased a balance of gains and losses, reflecting the dynamic nature of stock trading on the KOSPI 200.
