Seoul: The KOSPI 200, representing South Korea's major stocks, experienced a general downturn at the close of trading on Monday. Among the key stocks, SK hynix saw a significant drop, closing at 554,000 KRW, down by 17,000 KRW. ORION Holdings also faced a decrease, ending at 21,250 KRW, a decline of 250 KRW.

According to Yonhap News Agency, ASIA HOLDINGS concluded the day at 352,500 KRW, dropping by 6,000 KRW. In contrast, YoulchonChem experienced a slight increase, closing at 30,150 KRW, up by 50 KRW. The largest decline was seen in HYOSUNG HEAVY, which fell by 61,000 KRW, settling at 1,901,000 KRW.

LG Energy Solution, another major player, closed at 442,500 KRW, a decrease of 3,000 KRW. HtlShilla and Hanmi Science also recorded losses, closing at 45,450 KRW and 37,850 KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, SamsungElecMech dropped by 8,500 KRW to close at 263,500 KRW.

In the energy sector, HANWHA SOLUTIONS closed at 27,850 KRW, down by 300 KRW. HDKSOE fell by 12,500 KRW, ending at 437,000 KRW. Conversely, F and F rose by 800 KRW, closing at 74,100 KRW, and HANALL BIOPHARMA increased by 1,750 KRW to 44,300 KRW.

SamsungF and MIns remained unchanged at 489,500 KRW. Kogas saw a minor rise, ending at 42,100 KRW, up by 100 KRW. HANKOOK and COMPANY closed at 26,050 KRW, a decrease of 250 KRW, while KIA CORP. decreased by 1,800 KRW to 124,000 KRW.

OCI Holdings gained momentum, rising by 2,000 KRW to 105,500 KRW. YoungoneHoldings and SamsungHvyInd both experienced declines, with the former closing at 197,800 KRW and the latter at 25,700 KRW. LS ELECTRIC also saw a significant drop, closing at 483,000 KRW, down by 23,000 KRW.

LG Innotek ended the session at 287,500 KRW, a decline of 7,000 KRW. S-Oil, however, rose by 4,800 KRW, closing at 86,400 KRW. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp saw a slight decrease, ending at 74,100 KRW, down by 300 KRW.

HMM closed slightly lower at 20,700 KRW, while Shinsegae experienced a notable increase, rising by 7,500 KRW to 264,500 KRW. HYUNDAI STEEL and LOTTE Fine Chem both saw small gains, ending at 31,900 KRW and 47,650 KRW, respectively.

KCC closed at 432,000 KRW, down by 6,000 KRW. SKBP ended the day at 134,700 KRW, up by 1,500 KRW, while POSCO FUTURE M rose by 5,500 KRW to 227,000 KRW. LG Corp. closed at 83,500 KRW, a decrease of 500 KRW, and GCH Corp finished at 16,840 KRW, down by 120 KRW.

HyundaiMtr saw a decline, closing at 293,500 KRW, down by 8,000 KRW. AMOREPACIFIC Holdings ended at 27,200 KRW, a decrease of 200 KRW. LotteChilsung fell by 3,900 KRW to 136,500 KRW, while SKC rose by 3,600 KRW to 112,200 KRW. MIRAE ASSET SEC closed at 21,450 KRW, a decrease of 750 KRW, and KumhoPetrochem ended the session at 123,400 KRW, down by 300 KRW.
