Seoul: Thursday's closing prices for KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange exhibited mixed movements, reflecting the ongoing economic uncertainty affecting global markets. The pricing data indicates fluctuations in several key stocks, suggesting varying investor confidence across different sectors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, GCH Corp saw a positive shift, closing at 14,280 KRW, which is up by 220 KRW. LotteChilsung also experienced an increase, closing at 124,100 KRW, up by 100 KRW, while LOTTE rose slightly by 50 KRW to reach 30,950 KRW. In contrast, HyundaiMtr faced a significant decline, with its stock price dropping by 9,000 KRW to 521,000 KRW. Other notable declines included AMOREPACIFIC Holdings, which fell to 26,750 KRW, down by 200 KRW, and SamsungF and MIns, which decreased by 7,500 KRW to close at 490,000 KRW.
Investors observed gains in companies such as Daesang, which went up by 100 KRW to 20,800 KRW, and DL, which increased by 250 KRW to 44,750 KRW. HANKOOK and COMPANY saw a rise of 350 KRW, closing at 25,850 KRW. KIA CORP. also had a notable increase, up by 5,000 KRW to 167,000 KRW. On the other hand, Hanwha experienced a decline, dropping by 1,000 KRW to 128,600 KRW.
The stock of SK hynix decreased significantly by 25,000 KRW, closing at 930,000 KRW, while CJ saw a reduction of 2,200 KRW, ending at 180,300 KRW. SamsungElec also reported a decline, with its stock price falling by 2,100 KRW to 187,900 KRW. Other companies like POSCO Holdings and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries showed resilience with increases of 2,500 KRW and 14,000 KRW, closing at 347,500 KRW and 604,000 KRW, respectively.
