Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a range of movements, with significant fluctuations in the closing prices of several key stocks. Leading the gainers were SK hynix and DOOSAN, which saw increases of 396,000 and 270,000, respectively. Samsung Electronics also experienced a substantial rise, closing up by 55,500. According to Yonhap News Agency, among other notable performers, Samsung Life rose by 47,500, while LS saw an increase of 43,500. Hyundai Heavy Industries also marked a significant gain with an increase of 33,000. The closing prices for NAVER and Hyundai Rotem were up by 13,300 and 13,200, respectively. On the downside, Samyang Food experienced the largest drop, decreasing by 75,000. Other decliners included d'Alba Global and LG H and H, which fell by 12,500 and 5,000, respectively. Orion and S-Oil also saw declines, closing down by 3,500 and 2,800, respectively. In summary, while the KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements, the overall trend showed significant gains for several major compa nies, indicating positive investor sentiment in certain sectors. However, declines in some stocks highlighted the market's mixed performance on the day.
