KOSPI 200 Sees Varied Movements as HD Hyundai Stocks Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed performances with notable gains and losses among major companies. HD Hyundai and its subsidiaries emerged as significant gainers, with HD Hyundai Electric and HD CE experiencing strong upward movements. In contrast, companies like KRAFTON and Netmarble saw declines in their stock prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai's share price rose by 10,500 to reach 219,000, while HD Hyundai Electric surged by 56,000 to close at 772,000. HD CE also saw a rise of 14,800, finishing at 141,900. These increases contributed to the positive momentum within the HD Hyundai group.

Meanwhile, KRAFTON and Netmarble experienced downturns. KRAFTON's stock decreased by 9,000 to end at 229,000, while Netmarble fell by 1,350, closing at 37,950. Other notable decliners included Orion with a drop of 2,400, closing at 130,300, and APR, which decreased by 2,000, ending at 357,500.

The report highlighted significant gains for SK hynix, which saw its price climb by 91,000 to reach 1,668,000. Other gainers included Hanwha Systems, which increased by 3,300 to 72,400, and HyundaiEngandConst, which rose by 8,600, closing at 110,100.

In addition, Poongsan and OCI Holdings recorded substantial gains. Poongsan rose by 10,200 to finish at 80,700, while OCI Holdings increased by 21,000, closing at 246,000. HS Hyosung Advanced also saw an uptick, gaining 10,600 to reach 175,400.

Conversely, several companies faced declines. Asia Holdings' price dropped by 3,400 to 180,500, and S-Oil fell by 3,300, ending at 122,500. Other companies, such as HMM and Hyundai MandF INS, saw minor declines of 100 each, closing at 21,100 and 36,700, respectively.

The KOSPI 200 index's varied movements reflect the dynamic nature of the stock market, with companies experiencing both upward and downward shifts in their stock prices.
