Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased notable activity, with several companies experiencing significant price changes. Financial and technology sectors were among the most active, indicating shifts in investor focus.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Meritz Financial saw a notable increase, climbing by 2,600 to reach a closing price of 115,100. BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group also witnessed increases, with BNK rising by 370 to close at 12,820, and iM Financial Group climbing 430 to end at 13,000. Conversely, SD Biosensor experienced a decline, dropping by 90 to close at 10,350.
The technology sector also displayed substantial movement, with Samsung Biologics increasing by 11,000 to a closing price of 1,003,000. HD Hyundai Electric and HD Hyundai both saw increases of 1,000, closing at 508,000 and 130,500, respectively. Meanwhile, Doosan Robotics fell by 2,900, ending the day at 63,200.
Other notable changes included a significant rise for HYOSUNG TNC, which increased by 6,500 to close at 256,500, and SK Square, which rose by 2,000 to reach 185,000. In contrast, KRAFTON and Doosan Bobcat experienced declines, with KRAFTON dropping 1,000 to 362,000 and Doosan Bobcat falling by 400 to 57,800.
The retail sector was not left behind, as BGF Retail saw a substantial increase of 5,200, closing at 126,200. Orion also experienced a rise, closing at 111,700 with an increase of 2,900.
