KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Gains as LGChem and KDHC Lead the Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased notable performance with several companies experiencing significant gains. Among the standout performers, LGChem and Korea District Heating Corporation (KDHC) saw remarkable increases in their stock prices, contributing to the positive trend on the index.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LGChem's stock price rose by 45,000, reaching a closing price of 391,000. This substantial gain underscores the company's robust position in the market. KDHC also reported a strong performance with its stock price increasing by 11,800, bringing its closing price to 101,600.

Other companies contributing to the upward momentum included KPIC, which experienced a rise of 13,500, closing at 133,500, and SKCHEM, which saw an increase of 8,000, closing at 68,900. GS and Hyundaiglovis also reported gains of 2,700 and 8,500, respectively.

In addition to these gains, companies such as LG H and H, Hanwha Life, and Hana Financial Group saw upward movements in their stock prices, further supporting the positive trend on the KOSPI 200. Despite the overall positive performance, some companies like KEPCO KPS and Doosan Robotics experienced declines, highlighting a mixed yet predominantly positive trading session.

Overall, the KOSPI 200's performance reflects a strong market environment, with key players in various sectors contributing to the index's growth.
