KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Declines Across Major Companies

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a notable downturn with several major companies witnessing declines in their stock prices. Among the notable decreases, NAVER saw a significant drop, closing at 204,000, down by 7,500. Similarly, Hanwha Ocean experienced a substantial decline, closing at 122,000, down by 8,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Elevator also recorded a decrease, closing at 93,700, down by 2,800. KEPCO's shares fell to 41,250, marking a decline of 1,950. In a similar vein, Doosan Enerbility's stock price decreased to 125,600, down by 2,400, while emart closed at 107,100, down by 5,800.

On the other hand, some companies reported gains. GC Biopharma Corp. saw an increase in its share price, closing at 137,300, up by 3,100. KT and G's stock rose to 182,100, an increase of 1,800. Meanwhile, HanmiPharm experienced a notable increase, closing at 454,500, up by 31,000.

Despite these gains, the overall trend on the KOSPI 200 was marked by declines. Other companies recording losses included Mobis, which closed at 548,000, down by 5,000, and DL E and C, which saw its stock price decrease to 85,900, down by 5,400. Additionally, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp suffered a significant drop, closing at 89,100, down by 17,400.
