KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Decline Across Major Companies

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a notable downward trend as several major companies reported substantial declines in their closing prices. Among the top decliners, SK Square saw a significant drop of 74,000, closing at 507,000. Following closely, Samsung Epis Holdings decreased by 73,000, ending at 525,000, and Mobis fell by 69,500, closing at 399,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also faced substantial declines. Hyundai Rotem's closing price was down by 47,000, reaching 202,000, while Samsung C and T dropped by 45,000 to settle at 272,000. Korea Aerospace reported a decrease of 39,100, closing at 158,500. SK experienced a decline of 49,500, ending at 330,000, and Posco Holdings closed at 321,500, down by 53,000.

The trend continued with LG Chem, which saw a decrease of 54,000, closing at 307,000. Hanwha Ocean faced a drop of 26,900, finishing at 108,500. LG H and H also reported a decline of 28,500, closing at 225,000. Hyundai Wia and Doosan Robotics experienced decreases of 19,200 and 17,700, closing at 78,400 and 80,600, respectively. The closing price for Hyundai Elevator fell by 13,000, ending at 81,600.

Several other companies also reported declines. For instance, LGElectronics dropped by 18,600, closing at 109,000, while APR saw a decrease of 18,500, ending at 267,000. Poongsan and Sanil Electric faced declines of 18,500 and 22,200, closing at 112,100 and 128,000, respectively. Overall, the KOSPI 200 index recorded significant declines across various sectors, reflecting a challenging day for investors.
