Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a significant uptick with several major stocks closing higher on the market. Key performers included POSCO FUTURE M, SK hynix, and DOOSAN, contributing to the overall positive trend observed in the market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, POSCO FUTURE M saw a notable increase, closing at 188,000, up by 12,100. SK hynix also reported gains, closing at 749,000, which is an increase of 5,000. DOOSAN made a substantial leap, ending the day at 770,000, up by 23,000. These companies were among the top performers in the index, driving the positive momentum.

Other companies also contributed to the day's gains. SamsungF and MIns rose by 7,000 to close at 477,000, while LIG Nex1 increased by 18,000 to reach 560,000. Hanwha Ocean experienced an upswing, closing at 145,700, up by 11,300. LGCHEM and KEPCO E and C also posted strong performances, closing at 321,500 and 102,500, respectively.

The day was not without declines, however. KIA CORP. saw a decrease, closing at 129,300, down by 3,900. HANMISemi also faced a downturn, ending at 167,600, a decrease of 8,700. Despite these declines, the overall sentiment remained positive with several companies achieving significant gains.
