Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a range of movements as stocks closed with both significant gains and losses on Monday. Notable performers included Doosan, which rose by KRW 109,000 to close at KRW 1,705,000, and Samsung Securities, which increased by KRW 30,400 to reach KRW 137,900.

According to Yonhap News Agency, KIA Corp. also experienced an increase, with its stock price rising by KRW 2,200 to close at KRW 154,000. Other gainers included SK Telecom, which closed at KRW 97,400, up by KRW 2,300, and Hyundai Elevator, which saw an increase of KRW 1,400, closing at KRW 100,100.

Conversely, several stocks experienced declines. DL fell by KRW 4,100 to end at KRW 67,400, and SeAH Steel Holdings dropped by KRW 11,000, closing at KRW 229,000. Samyang Food saw a decrease of KRW 25,000, ending the day at KRW 1,316,000.

Stocks that remained unchanged included POSCO International, closing at KRW 87,300, and Taekwang Industries, which held steady at KRW 1,190,000. The mixed performance of these stocks reflects the varied market conditions impacting the KOSPI 200 index.
