Seoul: The KOSPI 200 closed with a mixed performance, showing both gains and declines across various sectors. Noteworthy movements included HANWHA AEROSPACE, which increased by 20,000, closing at 1,067,000, and OTOKI, which saw an increase of 2,500, closing at 336,500. On the other hand, KumhoPetrochem experienced a significant decrease of 3,200, closing at 126,800.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the market saw a decline for several major companies. HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a steep drop of 40,000, closing at 2,891,000. SamsungElecMech also faced a decrease of 4,000, ending at 1,400,000. Additionally, Samsung Biologics fell by 29,000 to close at 1,423,000. Other companies such as HDKSOE and HanmiPharm reported declines of 4,500 and 13,000, closing at 351,500 and 481,500, respectively.
Among the other notable movements, SKC experienced a minor increase of 100, closing at 92,100, while MIRAE ASSET SEC decreased by 300, ending at 34,750. LG Energy Solution saw a decrease of 6,000, closing at 365,000. Meanwhile, SKTelecom and Hanjin KAL fell by 900 and 6,600, closing at 90,400 and 136,900, respectively.
In contrast, gains were recorded by several companies including SamsungSecu, which rose by 200 to close at 87,400, and DoubleUGames, which increased by 300, ending at 56,200. JB Financial Group and Netmarble also experienced upward trends, increasing by 350 and 100, respectively, closing at 31,450 and 35,150.
