Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed fortunes as several key stocks showed varied performances. Notably, significant declines were observed in several industries, while a few stocks managed to record gains.
According to Yonhap News Agency, among the stocks that fell, Hyundai Wia recorded a significant decrease, closing at 50,600, down by 1,100. Kumho Petrochem also saw a drop, closing at 129,200, down by 1,100. Mobis experienced a notable decline, ending at 293,000, down by 6,000. In contrast, Hanwha Aerospace stood out with an increase, closing at 922,000, up by 3,000.
Additionally, HDC Holdings recorded a rise, closing at 21,800, up by 250, while S-1 also saw an increase to 71,400, up by 400. On the other hand, HanjinKal closed at 116,700, down by 1,700, and CHONGKUNDANG ended at 84,900, down by 500. DoubleUGames closed at 57,100, down by 700, continuing the trend of declines among several stocks.
Furthermore, Samsung Biologics showed a positive performance, closing at 1,042,000, up by 3,000. BGF Retail also experienced gains, closing at 122,200, up by 1,700. However, HD Hyundai Electric saw a significant drop, closing at 468,000, down by 27,000, while Hyosung TNC ended at 254,500, down by 6,000.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a day of mixed outcomes with both upward and downward movements among its listed stocks, indicating varying investor sentiments across different sectors.
