Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited varied performance with several stocks experiencing fluctuations in their closing prices. On the rise, Samsung SDS saw a significant gain, closing at 180,000 with an increase of 5,100, while KEPCO E and C surged by 13,300, closing at 126,700. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics climbed by 5,000 to settle at 148,900.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other notable gains included HANJINKAL, which rose 4,000 to finish at 128,300, and POSCO DX, which increased by 3,350, ending at 42,000. Meritz Financial and SLCORP also saw increases of 2,500 and 2,850 respectively, indicating positive momentum for these companies.
On the downside, POSCO Holdings experienced a significant drop of 20,000, closing at 331,500. Hanwha also faced a substantial decrease, falling 11,900 to 124,600. GC Corp and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries recorded declines of 10,200 and 9,000, respectively.
Other stocks with decreases included CJ, which dropped by 2,800 to 187,200, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. falling by 2,500 to 289,000, and SK declining by the same amount to 299,000. Coway and GCH Corp saw reductions of 1,500 and 470, respectively.
The mixed results reflect the varied performance of companies in the KOSPI 200, highlighting both gains and losses across different sectors.
