Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed mixed performance in its latest trading session, with some companies experiencing significant gains while others faced declines. Leading the upward movement, SK hynix saw an impressive increase of 33,000 in its closing price, reaching 577,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Rotem also posted a notable rise, with its stock climbing by 10,100 to a closing price of 192,100. ISU Specialty Chemical followed suit, showing an upward movement of 8,000 to end at 59,500. Other companies that recorded gains included SBHC, which increased by 3,300 to 31,400, and Youngpoong, which rose by 3,100 to settle at 70,500.
Conversely, several companies experienced downward trends. Hyundai Department Store saw a decrease of 4,100, closing at 90,100. Hanmi Pharm's stock fell by 4,500, ending at 421,500, while Miwon Commercial experienced a drop of 2,300, closing at 151,700. The highest decline was observed in Doosan, which saw its stock price fall by 38,000 to 890,000.
The trading session also highlighted some stability, with Youngone Corp maintaining its position at 90,500, showing no change in its closing price. The session's mixed results reflect a varied performance across sectors within the KOSPI 200 index.
