Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a day of mixed outcomes as closing prices revealed significant declines for several companies, while others enjoyed gains. Leading the declines was LIG Nex1, whose shares fell by 21,000 to close at 570,000. Other notable decreases included COSMAX, which dropped by 17,500 to reach 245,500, and HYUNDAI ROTEM, down by 9,100 to finish at 184,800.
According to Yonhap News Agency, companies like SK Innovation and AMOREPACIFIC also experienced notable declines, with SK Innovation's shares decreasing by 4,900 to 116,100, and AMOREPACIFIC falling by 3,800 to 132,800. On the other hand, the index was buoyed by gains from companies such as Meritz Financial, which rose by 1,700 to 118,300, and Poongsan, up by 1,200 to 134,700.
The market saw minimal activity for certain stocks, with HanmiPharm declining slightly by 500 to 285,500, and LG H and H making a modest gain of 500 to close at 329,500. Meanwhile, TKG Huchems experienced a small increase of 110, closing at 17,540.
Other financial groups showed varied results. HANAFINANCIALGR saw its shares rise by 1,000 to 93,200, while ShinhanGroup experienced a decrease of 600, closing at 69,300. Additionally, BNK Financial Group posted an increase of 230, reaching 15,310.
The trading session also reflected minor fluctuations in companies like Celltrion, which remained unchanged at 178,600, and DWEC, which decreased by 60 to 4,095. As the market continues to exhibit volatility, investors remain watchful of the shifting dynamics within the KOSPI 200 index.
