KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Gains in Energy and Aerospace Sectors

Seoul: The latest figures from the KOSPI 200 index reveal a mixed performance among key stocks, with significant gains observed in the energy and aerospace sectors. YoulchonChem closed at 25,000, up by 550, while LG Energy Solution surged by 14,500 to a closing price of 384,000. HYOSUNG HEAVY also experienced an increase, closing at 2,561,000, up by 28,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, several other companies exhibited upward momentum in their stock prices. Hyundai Engineering and Construction saw an increase of 6,900, reaching a closing price of 155,700. HANWHA AEROSPACE marked a significant rise, closing at 1,465,000, an increase of 55,000. Other notable gainers included HMM, which closed at 21,650 with an increase of 650, and GS, which went up by 1,100 to close at 66,300.

On the downside, Samsung Electronics Mechanical closed at 399,500, down by 6,500. LG Innotek experienced a decrease of 7,000, closing at 254,000. Kumho Petrochemical also saw a decline, closing at 120,000, down by 5,300. Other companies facing decreases included Mobis, which fell by 8,500 to close at 414,500, and HanmiPharm, which closed at 488,000, down by 2,000.

Overall, the trading day showcased varied movements across different sectors, with some stocks showing resilience and growth, while others faced declines. The energy and aerospace sectors particularly stood out with notable gains among their key players.
