KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Gains and Losses in Major Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited varied movements in its closing prices, with several stocks experiencing notable gains and losses.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanmi Science saw an increase of 100, closing at 36,950, while Korea Zinc climbed by 3,000 to reach 1,480,000. In contrast, Samsung Electronics Mechanical decreased by 1,000, closing at 268,500.

Among the notable gainers, Hanall Biopharma rose by 1,100, bringing its closing price to 50,100. Hanssem and KT also saw increases, with Hanssem up by 150 to 45,850 and KT rising by 200 to close at 51,800. Additionally, HYBE recorded a significant gain of 8,000, closing at 299,000.

On the other hand, several stocks recorded declines. Samsung Heavy Industries dropped by 800 to 26,250, while Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance fell by 9,000, ending at 491,000. HDKSOE and OCI Holdings also faced declines, closing down by 5,500 and 2,200, respectively.

Other companies experiencing downturns included Youlchon Chemicals, which decreased by 200 to 30,550, and LG Energy Solution, which fell by 2,000, closing at 441,500. KCC faced a significant drop of 11,000, ending the day at 427,000.

The mixed performance highlights the fluctuating nature of the stock market, with some companies making gains while others face declines. The varied outcomes reflect the ongoing dynamics and challenges within the market.
