KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance with Notable Declines in Major Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance with significant declines recorded in several major stocks, while a few saw gains. Notable among the gainers were YoungoneHoldings, Mobis, LG CNS, and SK, while several others witnessed declines in their stock prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, YoungoneHoldings saw an increase of 2,000, closing at 196,400. Mobis and SK both experienced a rise of 24,000, closing at 688,000 and 680,000, respectively. LG CNS also saw an uptick of 11,700, bringing its closing price to 94,600. Hanon Systems experienced a smaller gain of 40, closing at 5,280.

In contrast, LS ELECTRIC and Korea Zinc observed significant declines, dropping by 23,500 and 48,000, closing at 261,500 and 1,396,000, respectively. SamsungHvyInd decreased by 1,000 to settle at 29,450, while LG Innotek saw a decline of 24,000, closing at 1,044,000. S-Oil's stock decreased by 2,000, ending at 108,100.

Other companies that faced drops include LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp, HMM, and HYUNDAI WIA, with declines of 2,300, 460, and 2,300, respectively. HANWHA AEROSPACE saw a reduction of 7,000, resulting in a closing price of 1,244,000. KEPCO's stock fell by 950, closing at 39,500.

Additional notable declines were seen in KumhoPetrochem, SamsungSecu, and LGCHEM, with decreases of 9,700, 2,600, and 20,000, respectively. LOTTE SHOPPING and Hyundai Elevator also reported declines, dropping by 6,300 and 3,100, respectively. The overall performance indicates a challenging day for several key players in the KOSPI 200 index.
