Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced mixed movements, with several companies witnessing declines while others recorded gains. Among the notable decliners, Hyundai Motor saw a dip of 4,500, closing at 302,500, and Hanchem experienced a significant drop of 6,000, ending at 234,000. On the other hand, some stocks managed to gain, with Samsung Biologics increasing by 5,000 to close at 1,665,000, and SBHC rising by 4,300, closing at 34,950.
According to Yonhap News Agency, stocks such as Poongsan and CS Wind also faced declines, with Poongsan dropping 1,200 to 103,300 and CS Wind falling 1,050 to 44,050. Youngone Corporation's shares decreased by 1,900, closing at 88,600, and KB Financial Group saw a decrease of 1,500, finishing the day at 124,500.
In contrast, Doosan Bobcat recorded a positive shift, gaining 100 to close at 58,900. HL Mando also saw an increase, rising 300 to finish at 55,000. Meanwhile, Lotte Chilsung recorded a rise of 400, ending at 129,500, and Hyundai Glovis increased by 900, closing at 180,800.
Other notable performers included OTOKI, which saw an increase of 1,500, ending the day at 389,000, and TCC Steel, which rose by 270 to close at 17,350. Despite the overall mixed performance, the movements highlight the varied investor sentiments impacting the KOSPI 200 index.
