Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a mixture of gains and declines among its key components in the latest trading session. Notable movements included significant increases and decreases in share prices, reflecting a dynamic market environment.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several prominent companies recorded notable changes. LG Corp. experienced an increase of 5,400, closing at 98,300. HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a substantial rise of 54,000, reaching a closing price of 2,401,000. Meanwhile, KIA CORP. appreciated by 7,100, ending at 161,800, and KBFinancialGroup gained 9,000 to close at 164,500.
In contrast, Shinsegae faced a decline, with a drop of 11,500, closing at 365,000. POSCO FUTURE M decreased by 2,500, settling at 218,500. SK hynix experienced a decrease of 16,000, ending the trading session at 860,000. Other notable losses included ISUPETASYS, which fell by 3,300 to 107,400, and Hanwha Ocean, which decreased by 1,200 to 129,700.
The trading session also highlighted gains for LG Energy Solution and LGCHEM, both increasing by 1,500, closing at 392,000 and 322,500 respectively. ShinhanGroup rose by 3,000 to 100,900, and WooriFinancialGroup gained 2,250 to settle at 37,850. Other companies such as HYUNDAI ROTEM and LG CNS also experienced upward movements, closing at 202,500 and 72,100 respectively.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a varied performance among its constituents, with some companies achieving significant gains while others encountered losses, illustrating the fluctuating nature of the market.
