KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance as Hyundai and Samsung Stocks Show Gains

Seoul: Thursday's closing prices of KOSPI 200 stocks demonstrated varied movements, with notable increases in several major stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Motor experienced a significant rise, closing at 513,000 KRW, an increase of 14,000 KRW. Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance also saw a substantial gain, finishing at 570,000 KRW, up by 11,000 KRW. Meanwhile, Hanwha closed at 119,800 KRW, marking an increase of 2,000 KRW.

In the biopharmaceutical sector, Hanall Biopharma ended the trading day at 56,400 KRW, up by 1,900 KRW. KCC also posted gains, closing at 584,000 KRW, up by 21,000 KRW. Other notable performances included SeAH Steel Holdings, which rose by 12,600 KRW to 148,600 KRW, and HD-Hyundai Marine Engine, up by 3,200 KRW to 85,900 KRW.

On the downside, CJ saw a decline, closing at 221,500 KRW, down by 6,500 KRW. Samyang Food experienced a decrease, ending at 1,171,000 KRW, a drop of 19,000 KRW. Additionally, Hana Financial Group fell by 1,300 KRW to close at 126,300 KRW, while Lotte Wellfood dropped by 1,900 KRW to 130,000 KRW.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 saw mixed results with sector-specific variations impacting individual stock performances on the main Korea Stock Exchange.
