KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Performance As HYOSUNG HEAVY And Hyundai Rotem Lead Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed results with several stocks seeing significant movement. HYOSUNG HEAVY and Hyundai Rotem were among the leading gainers in the session. HYOSUNG HEAVY's stock price surged by 40,000 to close at 1,721,000, while Hyundai Rotem saw an increase of 23,000, closing at 234,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the trading session also observed increases in other stocks such as Hanwha Ocean and Mobis. Hanwha Ocean's shares rose by 11,700, reaching 132,400, and Mobis climbed by 6,000 to close at 314,500. Additionally, LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and KumhoPetrochem experienced upward movements, finishing at 75,900 and 116,500 respectively.

Not all stocks followed the upward trend. Several stocks closed lower, including SamsungElecMech, which fell by 4,000 to end at 212,000, and KIWOOM, which decreased by 5,500, closing at 267,500. LG Innotek and Hanchem also saw declines, with LG Innotek dropping by 3,500 to 219,000 and Hanchem down by 1,500 to 205,000.

The day also featured mild gains for companies like GS Retail and Hyundai WIA, which closed at 17,580 and 58,000 respectively. Meanwhile, KEPCO saw a modest increase, ending the session at 43,900, up by 50.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index displayed a diverse range of performances, reflecting varied investor sentiment across different sectors.
