Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced varied movements in its recent trading session, with notable gains and losses among major companies. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. and LG Energy Solution emerged as significant gainers, while Hyosung Heavy and KorZinc faced notable declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. recorded an increase of 8,100 won, closing at 176,300 won. LG Energy Solution also saw a substantial rise, gaining 14,000 won to close at 305,000 won. Other companies that experienced upward movements included KPIC, which rose by 2,700 won to reach 85,000 won, and SK hynix, which increased by 11,000 won, closing at 257,000 won.
On the other hand, Hyosung Heavy experienced a decline of 17,000 won, closing at 827,000 won, while KorZinc also fell by 17,000 won, ending at 816,000 won. Other companies facing downward trends included Hyundai Engineering and Construction, which saw a decrease of 3,100 won to 75,300 won, and HDKSOE, which dropped by 3,500 won to 375,500 won.
Additional notable movements included GS E and C's decline by 350 won to 21,850 won and Hanmi Science's drop of 2,000 won to 43,200 won. Conversely, companies such as OTOKI and CJ Logistics experienced gains, with OTOKI rising by 6,500 won to 397,500 won, and CJ Logistics increasing by 5,200 won to 90,700 won.
Overall, the session reflected mixed trends within the KOSPI 200 index, with significant fluctuations in share prices leading to varied outcomes for the listed companies.
