Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a spectrum of movements with several companies recording significant gains while others experienced declines in their stock prices. Among the companies that saw noteworthy upward movements were SKSQUARE, HYOSUNG TNC, and AMOREPACIFIC, showing investor confidence in these sectors.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SKSQUARE led the gains with an impressive increase of 27,000, taking its closing price to 531,000. HYOSUNG TNC also saw a substantial rise with its stock price moving up by 8,500, closing at 395,000. AMOREPACIFIC was another top performer, with its shares increasing by 5,600, reaching a closing price of 139,500.
Other gainers included SK Innovation, POONGSAN, and HANWHA SYSTEMS, with increases of 5,300, 4,900, and 3,800, respectively. The financial sector also saw positive movements with iM Financial Group and BNK Financial Group rising by 320 each.
On the downside, SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS recorded a significant decline, with its stock price dropping by 15,000 to close at 1,776,000. HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED also faced a decrease, with its shares falling by 12,000 to 254,500. Other companies such as HanmiPharm, KRAFTON, and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC also experienced declines in their stock prices.
The mixed results reflect the varying investor sentiments across different sectors in the South Korean market, with some companies capitalizing on market opportunities while others face challenges.
