Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed varied movements with notable fluctuations in the stock prices of several major companies. Among the gainers, Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw an increase of 9,000, closing at 548,000. GC Biopharma Corp. also experienced a rise, ending at 127,600, up by 600. Other companies such as Mirae Asset Securities and SKC showed upward trends, closing at 34,450 and 84,300, respectively.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies faced declines. Hyundai M and F Insurance decreased by 2,400, closing at 51,100, while Samsung Fire and Marine Insurance dropped significantly by 39,000, ending at 663,000. Kogas also saw a reduction, closing at 35,100, down by 2,600. LG Energy Solution experienced a decrease of 7,000, closing at 358,500.
Further notable changes included Shinsegae rising by 3,000 to close at 382,500, while Hyundai Steel fell by 150, finishing at 31,500. Hanmi Science climbed by 1,300, closing at 52,800. Meanwhile, LS Electric and Hanwha Aerospace saw increases, closing at 195,300 and 1,055,000, respectively.
S-Oil recorded a significant rise of 9,400, closing at 157,300. Korea Zinc, however, faced a decline, ending at 1,222,000, down by 2,000. The market movements reflected a mixed sentiment among investors, impacting various sectors differently.
