Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed varied movements with a greater number of companies experiencing declines in their stock prices. Key players such as Samsung Electronics and SK saw noticeable decreases.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics recorded a drop of 400, closing at 108,000, while SK experienced a significant decline of 7,000, closing at 265,000. Other notable declines included Samsung SDS, which decreased by 3,400 to end at 173,500, and Hanwha Aerospace, which fell by 37,000, closing at 923,000.
Several companies, however, recorded gains. ORION Holdings rose by 100, closing at 20,300, and LG Innotek increased by 1,500 to close at 289,000. LS Electric saw a rise of 9,000, ending at 501,000, and Mobis increased by 3,000, reaching 362,000.
The stock of Hyundai WIA remained unchanged at 65,800. Meanwhile, HMM fell by 450 to close at 20,150, and POSCO International witnessed a decline of 1,500, ending at 54,000.
Declines were also noted in firms such as Taekwang Industrial, which dropped by 10,000 to close at 789,000, while Kumho Petrochemical saw a minor decrease of 200, ending at 121,500.
