Seoul: The KOSPI 200 witnessed mixed movements in its latest trading session, with notable gains and declines across various sectors. Several companies experienced significant shifts in their closing prices, reflecting a varied trading day on the South Korean stock index.
According to Yonhap News Agency, among the gainers were LS, which saw a considerable increase of 14,500, closing at 233,000. KCC also marked a substantial upswing, rising by 59,500 to close at 549,000. LGELECTRONICS experienced a notable gain of 23,900, reaching a closing price of 127,900. Meanwhile, emart saw a rise of 10,000, closing at 127,600, and CJ LOGISTICS ended the day up by 9,000 at 145,700. KPIC and GC Corp also posted significant gains of 6,000 and 5,700, respectively.
In contrast, some stocks faced declines, with SAMSUNG SDI CO., LTD. dropping by 4,000 to close at 377,000. SeAH Steel Holdings saw a decrease of 5,600, finishing at 140,300. Daewoong experienced a drop of 1,150, closing at 25,100. TaekwangInd also fell by 20,000, ending the session at 948,000.
The session also featured stocks that remained unchanged, including Youngpoong at 59,300, CJ at 223,000, and KAL at 24,950. These stable prices reflect consistent investor sentiment for these companies during the trading period.
