KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Movements as Key Stocks Experience Fluctuations

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed varied movements as several prominent companies experienced fluctuations in their closing prices. Some stocks observed gains, while others faced declines, leading to a mixed session in the South Korean stock market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HankukCarbon saw an increase in its stock price, closing at 41,900, up by 1,400. SLCORP also witnessed a rise, closing at 73,400, an increase of 2,600. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp and KPIC experienced significant gains, closing at 95,900 and 189,900, up by 5,900 and 5,500 respectively. ISUPETASYS marked the highest increase, with its stock price rising by 9,100 to close at 127,600.

On the other hand, SKTelecom's stock fell to 79,800, a decrease of 2,500, while Yuhan ended at 110,200, down by 700. COWAY and Hyundai Elevator also saw declines, closing at 81,900 and 98,700, down by 2,200 and 1,800 respectively. Notably, SamsungElecMech experienced a significant drop, with its stock price decreasing by 18,000 to close at 448,500.

Other notable movements included DOOSAN, which rose by 63,000 to close at 1,278,000, and Youngone Corp, which saw a rise of 3,900, closing at 96,900. Conversely, Hanmi Science faced a decrease, closing at 43,600, down by 3,400.

Overall, the KOSPI 200's session was marked by varied performances, reflecting a day of diverse trading outcomes for investors.
