Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited mixed results at the close of trade, with several major stocks reflecting gains and losses.
According to Yonhap News Agency, YoungoneHoldings experienced a rise in its closing price, moving up by 6,000 to a final price of 212,000. In contrast, SamsungHvyInd saw a decrease in its stock price, closing down by 350 at 33,000.
Other notable movements included LG Innotek, which climbed by 15,000 to close at 592,000, and OCI Holdings, which increased by 4,000 to reach 371,500. Meanwhile, HMM remained unchanged at a closing price of 20,750. HYUNDAI WIA fell by 500, closing at 86,200, while DWS saw a rise of 600, reaching 28,450.
SamsungSecu's stock decreased by 2,500, finishing at 108,700, and Hanchem dropped by 500, ending at 295,000. KEPCO also saw a slight decline, closing down by 200 at 44,500. SKTelecom and HankukCarbon faced larger declines, with their prices falling by 1,200 and 1,400 respectively.
On the positive side, COWAY increased by 1,900, closing at 87,400, and LOTTE SHOPPING saw a rise of 1,700, finishing at 134,300. LGCHEM experienced a significant increase of 13,500, reaching a closing price of 407,500. Conversely, HANMISemi dropped sharply by 9,500, closing at 357,500.
Hyundai Elevator, KEPCO E and C, and Hanwha Ocean all saw declines, with Hyundai Elevator down by 400, KEPCO E and C up by 1,400, and Hanwha Ocean down by 1,600. SANIL ELECTRIC decreased by 1,000, ending at 221,000, while ShinhanGroup saw a minor increase of 100, closing at 100,000.
KIWOOM faced a significant drop of 22,000, finishing at 423,500, and KEPCO KPS decreased by 500, ending at 63,400. LG H and H and HYUNDAI ROTEM experienced contrasting movements, with LG H and H down by 500 and HYUNDAI ROTEM up by 19,500.
The trading session also saw LG CNS decline by 800, closing at 66,700, while WooriFinancialGroup remained stable at 33,500. DWEC dropped by 250, finishing at 36,900, and Youngone Corp increased by 100, closing at 84,200.
Other stocks with noticeable movements included CSWIND, down by 200, and GKL, up by 80. POONGSAN increased by 200, closing at 102,000, and KBFinancialGroup rose by 1,800, ending at 160,600. Doosan Bobcat and HL MANDO saw opposing trends, with Doosan Bobcat down by 2,000 and HL MANDO up by 300.
Netmarble increased by 700, closing at 51,300, while KRAFTON faced a drop of 6,000, ending at 277,500. SAMSUNG BIOLOGICS saw a notable decrease of 31,000, finishing at 1,473,000. Finally, COSMAX increased by 1,000, closing at 222,000.
