Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced mixed movements today, with significant price shifts among various companies. Hyundai Rotem and SK Innovation recorded notable gains, while Hanmi Pharm and Samyang Food saw declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Rotem increased by 3,500 to close at 226,000, and SK Innovation rose by 5,000 to end at 104,900. Other companies that saw upward trends included KEPCO E and C, which climbed 900 to 85,900, and LG Electronics, which advanced by 1,300 to 76,400.
Meanwhile, Samyang Food experienced a decrease of 49,000, closing at 1,509,000. Hanmi Pharm also faced a drop of 6,000, ending the trading day at 354,500. Notably, LIG Nex1 fell by 2,000 to 505,000, and KDHC decreased by 2,700 to 85,200.
Other companies showing positive growth included Youngone Corp, which rose by 2,100 to 63,700, and Hanchem, which climbed by 4,500 to 218,000. On the other hand, Daewoong Pharm saw a reduction of 4,200, closing at 132,300, and Poongsan decreased by 1,900 to 130,400.
The financial sector also showed varied performances. Shinhan Group increased by 900 to 71,400, and KB Financial Group rose by 500 to 116,800. Conversely, Meritz Financial saw a decline of 300, closing at 113,400.
