KOSPI 200 Sees Major Gains with LS Electric Leading the Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced significant gains, with several companies closing the trading day with notable increases in their stock prices. LS Electric emerged as a leading performer, closing at 612,000, marking an impressive increase of 86,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other major contributors to the index's upward movement included HD Hyundai, which closed at 233,500, rising by 10,500, and SKSQUARE, which saw a substantial gain of 41,000, closing at 546,000. Samsung Biologics also contributed to the positive momentum, with its closing price at 1,749,000, up by 38,000.

HD Hyundai Electric and HS Hyosung Advanced also reported significant increases, closing at 889,000 and 261,000 respectively, with gains of 53,000 and 30,000. Hyundai Autoever's shares climbed to 442,000, an increase of 12,000, while HYBE saw its stock rise by 11,500, ending at 368,500.

Other companies that witnessed notable gains included SBHC, which rose by 10,600 to reach 81,500, and Doosan Bobcat, closing at 64,900 with an increase of 7,200. Taihan Cable and Solution's price went up by 4,150, closing at 30,800, and kakaopay saw a rise of 3,300, ending at 66,800.

Despite the overall upward trend, certain companies like KRAFTON and APR experienced declines, with their stock prices dropping by 3,500 and 2,000, respectively. Nonetheless, the KOSPI 200 concluded the day on a positive note, reflecting a robust market performance.
