KOSPI 200 Sees Gains in Key Sectors Amid Mixed Performances

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance as trading closed with several companies experiencing significant gains, while others saw declines. Noteworthy movements were observed in sectors such as technology, steel, and aerospace.

According to Yonhap News Agency, S-1 led the gainers with an increase of 5,100, closing at 76,700. Netmarble followed with a rise of 3,050, ending at 43,050. In the aerospace sector, Korea Aerospace saw a gain of 4,300, closing at 141,900. Notably, Samsung SDS rose by 4,500 to close at 229,500, and Hyundai Elevator increased by 3,300, reaching 79,400.

On the other hand, Hyundai Steel and SK Telecom were among the notable decliners. Hyundai Steel decreased by 1,100, closing at 32,150, while SK Telecom fell by 5,700 to end at 100,000. LG Corp. also saw a decrease of 1,200, ending at 107,500, and LGCHEM dropped by 6,500, closing at 316,500.

Other notable movements included gains for SamyangFood, which rose by 40,000, closing at 1,176,000, and HyundaiAutoever, which increased by 27,000, ending at 710,000. Conversely, Doosan Enerbility experienced a decline of 2,500, closing at 88,600, and LG Display dropped by 60, ending at 12,850.

The overall index performance reflects a diverse range of movements, with certain sectors showing resilience while others faced challenges.
