Seoul: The KOSPI 200 experienced a varied trading session as a number of significant stocks saw a decrease in their prices. Hyundai Motor closed at 424,500, marking a decrease of 19,500. Other notable declines were observed in AMOREPACIFIC Holdings, which fell by 200 to 23,800, and LS, which dropped by 11,000 to settle at 292,500.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries faced a substantial drop, closing at 466,000, down by 21,500. Similarly, GC Biopharma Corp. decreased by 1,100 to 119,400, while POSCO Holdings and OTOKI saw their prices fall to 303,500 and 306,500, respectively.
Despite the overall decline, some stocks registered gains. DB Insurance rose by 1,900 to 161,000, and SK hynix saw a rise of 68,000, closing at 1,913,000. Asia Holdings and Samsung SDS also experienced minor increases, with Asia Holdings up by 200 to 177,900 and Samsung SDS up by 2,800 to 193,000.
KIA Corp. experienced a drop of 3,900, closing at 139,600, while Shinsegae saw a significant decrease of 30,000 to settle at 561,000. Hanmi Pharm and HANKOOK and COMPANY also faced declines, closing at 356,500 and 24,400, respectively.
The session concluded with mixed outcomes, highlighting shifts in investor sentiment amidst fluctuations in the KOSPI 200 index.
