Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with a range of mixed results, showcasing varied performances across different sectors. Among the noteworthy gainers, YoungoneHoldings saw a significant rise, closing at 204,500, up by 12,600. Notable increases were also observed in Daewoong Pharm, which ended at 193,000, up by 5,700, and Samsung C and T, which climbed 4,500 to close at 252,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several other stocks also experienced gains. Hanwha Solutions ended the day at 27,550, up by 350, while HMM closed at 20,400, marking an increase of 250. OCI Holdings saw a slight uptick, closing at 99,900, up by 300. Samsung Card also performed well, gaining 2,200 to finish at 55,500.
However, the trading session was not favorable for all. HyundaiMtr experienced a decline, closing at 295,500, down by 7,000. POSCO Holdings also saw a decrease, ending at 308,000, down by 6,500. NCsoft faced a downturn as well, closing at 193,100, a decline of 7,400.
The technology sector had mixed results, with Samsung Electronics closing at 107,300, down by 700, while SamsungElecMech rose by 1,000 to finish at 269,500. Meanwhile, LG Display ended at 12,480, marking a decrease of 200.
The financial sector saw varied outcomes, with DB Insurance rising by 200 to close at 120,100, while IBK slightly decreased by 50 to end at 20,650. Samsung Life also experienced a decline, closing at 153,100, down by 1,300.
Other significant movements included Hyundai Elevator, which fell by 1,800 to close at 91,200, and SK, which ended at 261,500, down by 3,500. Among the gainers, Coway rose by 1,300 to finish at 85,900, and Lotte Shopping increased by 1,000 to close at 72,500.
