Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a variety of movements in stock prices, reflecting a mixed trading session. Significant shifts were observed among major corporations.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Korea Zinc experienced a notable increase, closing at 1,208,000, marking an upward shift of 66,000. S-Oil also saw a rise, settling at 87,100, up by 3,100. Hanchem and S-1 reported gains, closing at 231,000 and 75,000, respectively. Meanwhile, Hanwha Aerospace and Samsung Epis Holding faced declines, with Hanwha Aerospace dropping by 2,000 to 1,212,000 and Samsung Epis Holding decreasing by 25,000 to 663,000.
Other significant movements included Mobis, which fell by 5,500, closing at 394,000, and SK, which decreased by 5,000 to 279,000. On the other hand, Doosan Enerbility recorded a substantial gain, increasing by 3,900 to close at 88,100. HYUNDAI Elevator and Coway registered minor increases, closing at 87,600 and 79,800, respectively.
Additional fluctuations were observed in companies like Lotte Shopping, which rose by 1,400 to 69,900, and Samsung C and T, which declined by 1,000 to 267,500. KT and Samsung Card both faced slight declines, each closing at 51,700, down by 300 and 600, respectively.
Notably, NAVER and KT and G experienced gains, with NAVER rising by 1,500 to 255,500 and KT and G increasing by 1,500 to 143,700. In contrast, Samsung Life decreased by 1,400, closing at 158,100, while Amorepacific saw a slight drop of 400, ending at 118,800.
Overall, the trading session highlighted the volatility within the KOSPI 200 index, with some companies experiencing gains while others faced downturns.
