KOSPI 200 Index Sees Varied Stock Performance

Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed performance among its constituent stocks, with several companies experiencing notable price movements.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Youngone Holdings saw an increase of 4,800 to close at 168,200, while Kumho Petrochemicals rose by 1,500, reaching 118,400. LS ELECTRIC and Korea Zinc prices fell by 1,000 and 14,000, closing at 204,500 and 1,102,000 respectively.

Samsung Heavy Industries experienced a slight decline of 150, ending at 20,100. In contrast, S-Oil and LG Innotek stocks increased significantly by 6,600 and 43,000, closing at 162,200 and 578,000 respectively. IBK and DWS also saw upward movements, closing at 20,900 and 21,350, with increases of 500 and 550.

KEPCO's stock price rose by 450 to 30,700, while Samsung Securities dropped by 2,300, finishing at 88,800. Hanon Systems, Hankuk Carbon, and COWAY showed gains, closing at 3,295, 20,400, and 101,600 with increases of 75, 150, and 1,800 respectively. SK, on the other hand, saw a decline of 33,000, reaching 578,000.

Other notable movements included SK Telecom's rise by 1,100 to 88,200 and SAMSUNG SDS's drop by 1,500 to 219,000. KUMHOTIRE and KOREA AEROSPACE saw increases, closing at 6,810 and 129,600, with gains of 240 and 2,100. Hyundai Elevator and Hanwha Ocean also experienced upticks, closing at 73,900 and 80,000.

LOTTE Shopping and KIWOOM experienced declines, closing at 102,600 and 257,000, with decreases of 1,300 and 9,000. In contrast, LOTTE WELLFOOD and SAMSUNG CARD saw increases, closing at 126,300 and 43,350, with gains of 2,000 and 900 respectively.
