KOSPI 200 Index Sees Varied Movements Across Major Companies

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a series of fluctuations among its major companies, with several stocks closing higher while others experienced a decline. Notably, SKTelecom saw a significant decrease in its closing price, dropping by 5,000 to 81,500.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Elevator recorded an increase, with its price rising by 4,600 to reach 107,900. HankukCarbon also saw a rise, closing at 36,750, up by 1,850. DWEC experienced an upward movement, closing at 7,930, an increase of 630. KEPCO KPS ended the day at 62,000, up by 3,700.

Among the other gainers, LG Display's shares went up by 680, closing at 12,280, while Kangwonland reported a slight increase, closing at 19,100, up by 240. Kakao and NAVER also saw their prices rise, closing at 57,600, up by 200, and 253,000, up by 500, respectively. NCsoft and KIWOOM experienced significant gains, with NCsoft up by 15,000 to 227,000, and KIWOOM closing at 487,500, up by 18,000.

On the other hand, some companies saw their stock prices fall. PARADISE's shares decreased by 350 to close at 20,150, and HANMISemi saw a decline, closing at 201,500, down by 1,000. COSMAX and MIWON SC also ended lower, with COSMAX dropping by 3,000 to 200,000, and MIWON SC decreasing by 2,000 to 138,500.

In other movements, SK Innovation's shares rose by 4,800 to 118,600, while HANWHA LIFE saw a modest increase, closing at 5,080, up by 250. AMOREPACIFIC and KRAFTON both experienced upward trends, with AMOREPACIFIC up by 400 to 161,400, and KRAFTON closing at 262,000, up by 5,000.

Additionally, HD HYUNDAI and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC saw substantial increases, with HD HYUNDAI rising by 14,500 to 270,500, and HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC closing at 967,000, up by 18,000. Meanwhile, DOOSAN saw a notable increase, closing at 990,000, up by 48,000.

The index's varied movements reflect the ongoing shifts in the market, highlighting both gains and declines among key players.
