Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed fortunes as shares of various companies saw both gains and declines. Among the top gainers were SK hynix, which saw its shares rise by 58,000 to close at 1,224,000, and SKSQUARE, up 17,000 to 718,000. Despite these gains, some companies faced declines, including Samsung Biologics, which fell by 17,000 to 1,588,000, and HD Hyundai Electric, down 29,000 to 1,058,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD-Hyundai Marine Engine experienced a significant increase, with shares climbing by 5,700 to a closing price of 96,100. Conversely, LIG Defense and Aerospace saw a substantial drop of 12,000, settling at 9,090. The day also witnessed Hyundai Glovis shares rise by 7,500 to 233,500, while Krafton experienced a decrease of 6,500, closing at 255,000.
Other notable movements included Doosan Bobcat, which saw its shares increase by 800 to 71,800, and Hanmi Pharm, which faced a decline of 25,000 to 504,000. Companies such as KIA Corp. and SK ie technology also recorded gains, with shares rising by 2,600 and 1,950, respectively. Meanwhile, Netmarble and HYBE encountered declines, with shares dropping by 900 and 6,000, respectively.
The fluctuations in the KOSPI 200 index reflect the varied performance of the companies listed, with several experiencing gains despite a broader trend of declines in others. This mixed performance indicates ongoing market volatility and the potential for further fluctuations in the coming days.
