Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited varied movements in the latest trading session, with notable shifts in the closing prices of several major companies. Key players such as Samsung Electronics and Samsung SDS witnessed significant gains, while others like Korea Zinc and Hyosung Heavy experienced declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Electronics saw a rise, with its closing price reaching 254,000, marking an increase of 4,500. Samsung SDS also registered a substantial gain, closing at 217,500, up by 8,000. On the other hand, Korea Zinc faced a downturn, with its price dropping by 46,000 to close at 1,029,000. Hyosung Heavy experienced a notable decrease, closing at 2,625,000, down by 56,000.
In other movements, HDKSOE showed a positive trajectory with an increase of 6,500, closing at 378,500. LG HandH and LG Energy Solution also recorded gains, closing at 256,000 and 333,000, respectively. Conversely, Hanwha Solutions and DB Insurance saw declines, with their prices dropping by 3,800 and 4,500, respectively.
The session further highlighted gains for companies like KAL and FandF, with increases of 1,000 and 1,700, respectively. In contrast, Korea Aerospace and Hanwha Engine recorded downturns, with declines of 11,900 and 1,550, respectively. The mixed performance across the KOSPI 200 index underscores the varied dynamics influencing the current market trends.
