KOSPI 200 Faces Significant Declines Across Major Companies


Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a substantial downturn, with several major companies experiencing notable declines in their stock prices. Key players such as HyundaiAutoever, SKSQUARE, and HD HYUNDAI faced significant losses, contributing to the overall negative trend in the market.



According to Yonhap News Agency, HyundaiAutoever’s stock closed at 395,000, marking a decrease of 35,500. Similarly, SKSQUARE saw a drop of 51,000, closing at 557,000, while HD HYUNDAI’s shares fell by 25,000 to settle at 240,500. These declines were part of a broader trend affecting numerous companies within the index.



Other significant drops included HD HYUNDAI ELECTRIC, which decreased by 46,000 to close at 913,000, and APR, which fell by 35,000 to 324,500. LIG Nex1 also reported a decrease, closing at 640,000 with a reduction of 21,000.



The retail and financial sectors were not spared, with BGF Retail closing at 119,900, down by 4,300, and WooriFinancialGroup dropping by 2,200 to 31,700. LG CNS saw a decline of 5,100, ending at 62,500, while KRAFTON’s stock decreased by 7,500, closing at 228,000.



Additional noteworthy declines included Hanwha Engine, which fell by 3,800 to 45,250, and ISUPETASYS, which saw an 11,300 drop to 115,500. Despite the widespread downturn, some companies experienced relatively smaller losses, such as Daesang and GS Retail, which closed at 20,450 and 20,150, respectively, with declines of 250 and 300.
