KOSPI 200 Experiences Significant Downturn with Few Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index faced a substantial downturn with several companies experiencing declines in their stock prices. The list of companies shows a predominance of stocks closing lower, indicating a challenging day for the South Korean market.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Lotte Wellfood was among the few companies that saw an increase, closing at 148,600, up by 3,900. In contrast, KTandG saw a decrease, ending at 174,400, down by 500. Doosan Enerbility and LG HandH also faced declines, closing at 76,600 and 297,000, down by 4,800 and 9,000 respectively.

Hyundai Rotem and Celltrion did not fare well either, with Hyundai Rotem closing at 122,900, down by 7,400, and Celltrion ending at 186,300, down by 1,700. Similarly, LandF and LGChem saw their stock prices drop, with LandF closing at 124,700, down by 6,500, and LGChem at 269,000, down by 13,000.

LG CNS and Woori Financial Group also experienced reductions, closing at 74,500, down by 1,300, and 34,500, down by 50. Other companies like Hyundai Department Store and Daewoong Pharm faced declines as well, with Hyundai Department Store closing at 92,700, down by 5,100, and Daewoong Pharm at 124,100, down by 2,700.

Sanil Electric saw a significant drop, closing at 183,800, down by 11,800, while TKG Huchems ended at 16,160, down by 260. Meanwhile, JB Financial Group experienced a rise, closing at 30,550, up by 1,300. KEPCO E and C and KIH also saw declines, with KEPCO E and C closing at 105,800, down by 4,700, and KIH at 185,400, down by 5,600.

Shinhan Group and LG Electronics joined the downward trend, with Shinhan Group ending at 110,500, down by 600, and LG Electronics at 200,500, down by 6,000. Other companies such as Foosung and SK Innovation faced declines, closing at 12,530, down by 170, and 131,500, down by 3,800, respectively.

Amorepacific and SD Biosensor also experienced downturns, closing at 142,300, down by 4,000, and 6,030, down by 160. Kolmar Korea remained unchanged at 155,000 while Meritz Financial saw an increase, closing at 129,800, up by 4,400. BNK Financial Group and iM Financial Group also experienced declines, closing at 15,140, down by 270, and 18,860, down by 100.

Emart and Hankook Tire and Technology ended lower, with Emart closing at 72,900, down by 1,900, and Hankook Tire and Technology at 65,600, down by 1,800. Doosan faced a significant decline, closing at 1,121,000, down by 85,000.

Hankook and Company, DL, KIA Corp., and GS also saw changes in their stock prices, with Hankook and Company closing at 24,200, down by 400, DL at 51,200, up by 600, KIA Corp. at 124,400, down by 6,800, and GS at 120,000, down by 4,700.

KDHC and HD-Hyundai Marine Engine faced declines, closing at 74,300, down by 1,400, and 48,950, down by 3,350. Hyundai Glovis and Hanwha Engine also ended lower, with Hyundai Glovis closing at 195,000, down by 14,500, and Hanwha Engine at 44,650, down by 3,200.

Hana Financial Group and LIG Defense and Aerospace experienced downturns as well, closing at 134,900, down by 2,500, and 655,000, down by 30,000. Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a challenging day for many companies.
