KOSPI 200 Closes with Mixed Performance as Major Players Surge

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index saw a significant number of its constituents closing with gains in the latest trading session. The market performance reflected a positive trend for several key players, while some companies experienced a decline.

According to Yonhap News Agency, ISUPETASYS led the gains, closing at 120,200, rising by 4,700. GS Retail also experienced a rise, closing at 20,450, up by 300. SamsungElecMech recorded an increase of 9,500, closing at 437,000. YoulchonChem closed at 23,250, gaining 950. In a notable performance, HYOSUNG HEAVY saw a significant rise, closing at 2,701,000, up by 112,000. LG Energy Solution also recorded a substantial gain, closing at 392,500, up by 36,500. HtlShilla and Hanssem closed at 43,100, with increases of 1,400 and 1,200 respectively.

HDKSOE and LS ELECTRIC had differing outcomes, with HDKSOE rising by 13,500 to close at 379,500, while LS ELECTRIC decreased by 10,000, closing at 813,000. KOREA ZINC also posted a strong performance, closing at 1,543,000 with a gain of 57,000. YoungoneHoldings ended at 222,500, up by 6,500. SamsungHvyInd saw a slight increase, closing at 26,400, up by 400. S-Oil closed at 108,400, rising by 2,400, while LG Innotek increased by 2,000 to close at 292,000.

Some companies faced declines; LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp dropped by 900, closing at 80,400, and MIRAE ASSET SEC closed at 61,100, down by 800. kakaopay experienced a notable decline, closing at 53,900, down by 5,600. HyundaiEng and Const also saw a decrease, closing at 149,900, down by 4,200.

Despite some declines, the overall market sentiment was buoyed by gains from HD-Hyundai Marine Engine, which rose by 1,700 to close at 75,200, and HYUNDAI WIA, which increased by 2,400 to close at 82,200. SKC closed at 99,900, up by 6,200. Hanchem and Nongshim recorded increases, closing at 279,000 and 374,000, up by 8,500 and 7,500 respectively. SKTelecom and SGBC posted gains, closing at 76,600 and 60,000, rising by 2,400 and 900 respectively.

Hyundai Elevator and POSCO DX also ended the session with positive performances, closing at 86,300 and 30,700, up by 2,100 and 1,150 respectively. LOTTE SHOPPING saw a rise, closing at 105,000, up by 4,400, while Hanon Systems and SK closed at 3,930 and 343,500, up by 35 and 14,500 respectively. SAMSUNG SDS and KOREA AEROSPACE also witnessed increases, closing at 157,100 and 176,300, up by 4,700 and 6,400 respectively.
