KORIBOR Rates Show Stability Across Short-Term Periods

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained stable across most short-term periods as of 11:00 a.m., according to data posted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency. The rates for the one-week, one-month, and two-month terms all held steady at 2.50%, 2.62%, and 2.74%, respectively, showing no change from the previous session.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the three-month KORIBOR also demonstrated consistency, maintaining its rate at 2.85%. Meanwhile, the six-month and twelve-month rates experienced slight increases. The six-month rate inched up from 3.00% to 3.01%, while the twelve-month rate rose from 3.42% to 3.44%.

These figures reflect the current lending conditions among banks in South Korea, indicating a period of stability in the short-term interbank lending market. The minor adjustments in the longer-term rates may suggest slight changes in market expectations over the coming months.
