Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) were announced by Yonhap Infomax, part of Yonhap News Agency, revealing a slight change in long-term rates as of 11:00 a.m. today. The data shows variations in the six-month and twelve-month rates, while the short-term rates remained stable.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the one-week, one-month, two-month, and three-month KORIBOR rates remained unchanged from the previous session, holding steady at 3.00%, 3.07%, 3.13%, and 3.22%, respectively. However, the six-month KORIBOR rate showed a minimal increase from 3.49% to 3.50%, and the twelve-month rate saw a slight rise from 3.77% to 3.78%.
These rates are crucial indicators for the financial markets, influencing borrowing costs and reflecting monetary policy expectations. The stability in the short-term rates suggests a steady monetary environment, while the slight increases in the longer-term rates may indicate market anticipation of future changes in financial conditions or policy adjustments.
